Minimum Requirements
At least 18 years old, a current medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months, a leadership level diving certification such as PADI Divemaster, and a minimum of 60 logged dives (100 before attending the Instructor Examination [IE]).
Experience
You should have been a certified diver for at least six months.
eLearning Segment
Engage with PADI's eLearning system, which includes interactive videos, audio, graphics, and reading materials. Short quizzes track your progress.
Practical Application
After completing the online portion, you'll participate in practical sessions to complete your Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor training.
Course Fees
The eLearning portion of the course has a fee, and Scubaholics Subic will charge for the practical application part. Other costs include fees for the Assistant Instructor, Instructor applications, and the Instructor Examination.
Materials Required
You'll need a current PADI Instructor Manual, the IDC Crew Pak, and other required materials and equipment. Our PADI Course Director or IDC Staff Instructor will guide you on the necessary materials and equipment.
Instructor Examination (IE)
After completing the IDC, you'll enroll in the two-day IE. You'll earn the prestigious PADI Instructor rating after successfully completing and meeting all requirements.
Access Period
The eLearning segment is available for one year from registration.
Completion Time
Approximately 7 - 8 hours are needed to complete the online portion.
